My name is Ken Grandlund and I am a professional storyteller, diversity and inclusion leader and creative consultant with over three decades experience in broadcast media and production and over half a decade in ID&E. Over my career, I have worked in radio, television, cable, and print media, produced over a thousand local commercial for small businesses, and published hundreds of stories and articles online. Currently, I am an internal communications specialist for a national telecommunications company, and I lead or sit on several cross-divisional diversity organizations within the company.

Throughout my career my work has been recognized nationally, and I have received dozens of awards including an Emmy and 14 Telly Awards. I’ve been recognized multiple times by my peers with internal company awards for leadership, collaboration, and achievement. Most recently, I was named one of San Diego’s Most Influential LGBTQ+ corporate leaders.

Giving back is also important to me. I coached Special Olympics athletes in basketball, softball, and golf for 6 years. I serve as Vice-Chair on the Board of Directors at the North County LGBTQ Resource Center in Oceanside, California. I began officiating weddings for the LGBTQ community in 2008, and continue to officiate for all couples in need of an affordable and customizable wedding ceremony. I encourage you to reach out if you’d like to learn more.

I began my career in radio as an on-air personality and news director, and was active in community theater in my younger days. I’m an experienced moderator, session host, and emcee, as well as a seasoned producer and director. I love meeting new people and helping them meet their next big goal.
